Description: Participants will have an opportunity to complete two full laps around Big Bear Lake. This will not be a timed event, but instead a ride where all traffic rules must be adhered to. Cyclists will start at Pine Knot Landing, follow the Full Marathon Course, but will not be allowed to ride on the “Alpine Pedal Path”, instead they will stay on Hwy 38, turn right on Stanfield Cutoff. They will not be allowed to go through the Eagles Knolls Estates, but instead turn Rt on Big Bear Blvd, then right again on Sandalwood. They will continue past the Marathon “Turn Around”, and continue on the same route as the ½ Marathoners towards the Finish Line at Pine Knot Landing. If they complete the 1st Lap (15.1 miles) they will be allowed to go out and complete a 2nd lap around the lake. Otherwise they will be stopped and not allowed to go out again, so we can start both the Marathon and ½ Marathon, without combining cyclists and runners on the same course.
