With spectacular Teton single track trails winding through wildflower meadows, and miles of technical lift-serviced downhill trails, Grand Targhee Resort established itself as the first downhill mountain bike destination in the Tetons. This is only part of the story, with incredible trails both on Teton Pass and at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort the region is slowly and quietly becoming a downhill mecca. When it’s June, July & August and the West is sweltering, Targhee and the Tetons might be the most extraordinary, cool temperature riding in the lower 48!

Explore over 2,200 vertical feet of lift-serviced downhill and over 37 miles of cross country and downhill mountain bike trails. The Targhee Bike Park offers every style of riding for every level of mountain bike rider. Gentle, banked cruisers, tight and twisty single track cross country, gnarly, rock strewn downhill, drop offs and much more. Enjoy an incredible road ride up to the resort, take the left up for a lift assisted ride down sidewinder to Lightning Ridge & Loop Trails and finish with a descent down Colter’s Escape for the longest descent on the mountain.

Web registration is available. Opens on 2013-08-01. Closes on 2013-09-07.

Enduro

Cost: $55.00
License: None
Course Description: The bike race season wraps up at Grand Targhee Resort, Saturday September 7, with the Idaho Finals Enduro by our friends at Wild Rockies Mountain Bike Series. The Targhee Enduro is a collaboration between two great minds in mountain biking. Targhee’s own mountain events coordinator Andy Williams and professional rider/ Wild Rockies Racing promoter Darren Lightfield. It is a race that is not to be missed!

Imagine riding the traditional Targhee downhill course, one of the longest and hardest DH courses in the area and then stack that time on top of one of the newest trails at Targhee and throw in a little flow trail to boot. We think we might find the overall fastest descending this side of the Rocky Mountains!
