The Bidwell Bump is an extraordinary mountain bike race set in the lava-capped foothills of Upper Bidwell Park in Chico, California.
For the Pro/Expert/Sport category, the XC race is approximately 14 miles of technical climbing and descending, switchbacks, creek crossings and fast technical singletrack, while ascending approximately 2000’ overall on the North Rim trail, B-Trail, Bloody Pin and South Rim trail.
The SD course is for the Pro/Expert categories only, is approximately 5 miles in length that traverses the sloping South side of Upper Bidwell Park on Gaurdians Trail. The SD is paired with the XC race for the All Mountain Challenge (AMC).
For the Beginner to Intermediate, the Novice course is a dabble in the technical terrain of Upper Bidwell Park, packed into half the miles and 1/4 the climbing of the XC. The Novice race is set inside the lower canyon of Big Chico Creek within Upper Bidwell Park on Middle and Lower Trail.
There is also a FREE Kid’s Race course for all ages!
