|1701 Coyote Point Dr, San Mateo, CA 94401, USA [large map] 37.5872, -122.319|
Back for a second year, this Coyote Point circuit was a hit last year with its sand pit, run-ups and TRP Brake Zone barricades. It’s all back for 2010 plus a little more course to explore. We’re hoping to add perhaps 45 to 60 seconds more length – that means a few more new sections under the eucalyptus groves.
This is a compact circuit without any extensive straight sections – you’re always turning, shifting and running. Back in WWII this was a training base for the US Merchant Marine Service and our course runs over former barracks, gymnasium – even a special swimming pool to train seamen on water rescues and adandon ship!
This course has a separate Start Zone from the finish line – we’ll set the grid down near the Beach Parking lot – you’ll complete about 400 uphill yards before you pass under the Finish arch.
