The Durham Forest race series has began again at the Durham Forest with over 100 cyclists on our first night. This series involves 20 weeks of racing in a relaxed and fun atmosphere and offers a great introductory series for mountain bikers of all levels and abilities, registration opens at 5:45pm and races start at 7pm. This series is one of the oldest in Ontario with its origins back to Fred’s Farm in 1995. In 2010 we will be using a new venue for 4 of our race nights. The Woodnewton private property on Concession #6 about 1km north of Goodwood Road will be the sight of the Thursday races on June 24th, July 29th, and Aug. 12th. On Aug 19th we will host our double points night on the Ontario Mountain Bike Championship course which will also be a course preview for the provincials thanks to Chico racing. Final and Awards Night will be on Aug. 26th back at the Durham Forest where riders who have accumulated the most points over their best 14 weeks will be crowned with the Champions Number Plates. Looking forward to renewing old friendships and meeting new single-track warriors on April 15th.
