The toughest terrain in Wisconsin was just begging for an epic mountain bike event. Chosen for the venues for road cycling and mountain biking courses for Chicago’s 2016 Olympics bid, the driftless ridges and valleys west of Madison could dish out the level of difficulty to challenge the finest cyclists in the world.
Team Sports chose to offer this experience to any fit rider in the form of an “epic” mountain bike race. Races in that category have captured the enthusiasm of riders around the world. As such, our “epic” will combine long distance, steep terrain, various riding surfaces and technical difficulty in a point-to-point ten-hour challenge for solo riders or two-person teams.
